About

+ + was founded in 2018 by José Ignacio Vargas. + + sees architecture as a multi-scalar relationship generated between the individual, the object, the design and the urban form. Our design process combines multidisciplinary tools, as well as the integration of research as a significant key driver.

Jose Ignacio Vargas is a Mexican architect who graduated with honors from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and received the ‘Catedra Blanca Cemex’ award. He worked as the assistant of architect Ricardo Legorreta. He then continued his studies at the Glasgow School of Art and on his return to Mexico, collaborated with the architects Tatiana Bilbao, Max von Werz, Carlos Zedillo and FRAMA Copenhagen. He is an MPhil graduate in Architecture and Urban design from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London (2017). Currently he teaches at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
