+ + was founded in 2018 by José Ignacio Vargas. + + sees architecture as a multi-scalar relationship generated between the individual, the object, the design and the urban form. Our design process combines multidisciplinary tools, as well as the integration of research as a significant key driver.

José Ignacio is a Mexican architect who graduated with honours from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and received the ‘Catedra Blanca Cemex’ award before working as an assistant to the architect
Ricardo Legorreta. He then continued his studies at the Glasgow School of Art and, upon his return to Mexico, collaborated with the architect Tatiana Bilbao and FRAMA Copenhagen. He is an MPhil
graduate in Architecture and Urban design from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London (2017) and, since 2018, has been teaching architecture at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
